Michael Dunn 

Dunn, Project Vanguard’s Washington, D.C., Community Leader, served seven years in the Army and National Guard before earning his bachelor’s and master’s degrees and transitioning to the energy industry. He says he loves his role volunteering with Project Vanguard because “it gives me a meaningful way to share a field I’m deeply invested in with a group I identify with.”

Mary Coyne 

Coyne, Project Vanguard’s Boston., Community Leader, found her way from the US Navy submarine force to offshore wind via the GE Junior Officer Leadership Program. She has held roles across operations, contract negotiation, and business development within the renewable industry, and currently uses all those skills as part of RWE. Mary is happy to reside above water for the foreseeable future and is based on Boston’s South Shore.

Ginger Cutler 

Cutler, Project Vanguard’s New York City Community Leader, spent 10 years as a Marine Corps MV22 Osprey pilot, with multiple deployments across Europe and Asia before earning transitioning to the energy industry. She says "the clean energy industry can provide a sense of mission and purpose to veterans looking to serve a cause larger than themselves" and hopes Project Vanguard can attract more veterans to the industry.

Chamai Shahim

Chamai began her career as a CH47 helicopter mechanic in the Army National Guard in Oregon.  She found her entry point to clean energy through her role as a Strategic Futures innovation Manager at the Arizona Chamber of Commerce where her work influenced shaping the CHIPS Act and Inflation Reduction Act.
